4-Step Deep-Reach Stamping Workflow

From oversized sheet metal panels to precision-formed components — the deep throat power press enables operations at the center of large workpieces with full tonnage and repeatable accuracy.

Position & Feed

Large sheet metal panels or pre-cut blanks are positioned on the extended bolster table. The deep throat allows the workpiece to extend freely behind the frame. CNC back gauges or manual positioning fixtures ensure accurate hole and feature placement relative to sheet edges.

Press & Form

The pneumatic clutch engages and the crankshaft drives the slide through the full stroke. The die performs punching, notching, forming or blanking with rated tonnage concentrated at bottom dead center — even at maximum throat extension, forming quality remains consistent.

Eject & Index

The knockout bar ejects the scrap slug through the bolster hole. The operator or automated system indexes the workpiece to the next position for the subsequent hit. The deep throat clearance allows unobstructed workpiece movement in all directions.

Repeat & Complete

The cycle repeats for each feature position on the panel. In continuous mode with automatic feeding, the press operates at full SPM rating. Stroke counter and tonnage monitor track production quality throughout the entire run.
